KOLO as a form of folk dance is widespread in almost all nations. It is especially characteristic of the South Slav nations. The same meaning has the term ORO or HORO. Oro as the term was used more in the regions of Montenegro, southeastern Serbia, Macedonia and Bulgaria. In other parts, the term "Kolo" was used. The basic meaning of the term circle is the circular as the ring, the circle. Horo or oro comes from the Greek word horos, which means a set of people, a dance, a game.
